Negligence – Informed consent – Suicide

Where the plaintiff brought a wrongful death suit against the defendant psychiatrist in connection with the suicide of his patient, there was no error in the judge’s conclusion that the plaintiff could not proceed with a separate informed consent count, nor was it an abuse of discretion for the judge to redact the deceased patient’s written statement about the potential dangers of antidepressants.
