Pacemakers are a type of medical device that is implanted into a patient in an effort to regulate the heartbeat. For patients who are prone to irregular heartbeats and heart attacks, these devices can truly be a lifesaver. Many people have experienced very positive results with pacemakers and while the devices do not come without risk, for the most part the benefits do outweigh the potential hazards.
