What Leads to Pharmaceutical Liability?

When a doctor prescribes a medication, patients trust that the medicine is safe. As required by law, Pharmaceutical companies must ensure the drugs and medical devices sold are safe and don't contain dangerous defects. Basically, drug manufacturer have to create, make, and sell drugs and devices that meet all of the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) requirements and regulations. While the FDA requires drug makers to prove a drug safe and effective through animal and pre-approval human studies, some adverse side effects don't surface until after the drug or device is on the market for some time.
