Tips for Buying a Used Car

This guest post is from Belinda Darling.

Driving a car is one of those routine parts of life, we just need to do it to get from A to B, and what most motorists want is a car that will give them as little trouble as possible, and is a cost effective and convenient vehicle. It’s much safer than riding a motorbike, that’s for sure. Way to make driving cost effective is to buy a used car rather than a new one, but you must ensure that you make the right decision when buying a used car, and don’t fall into the trap of buying a faulty used car. Here are some common mistakes that people make when they buy a used car, and hopefully you can avoid them!

  • Buying impulsively
  • Not visiting several dealers
  • Not bothering with the cars full history
  • Not doing background checks on the car. It is easier than it ever has been to check up on a car today.
  • Not test driving a car properly
  • Having the car cross checked by someone at your insurance agency
  • Listening to the sounds that the car makes
  • Making an emotional decision, or a quick decision to save time.
  • Buying a car for its looks!
