Defibrillators are medical devices that are designed to shock a patient in order to restart a normal sinus, or heart, rhythm. This variety of the device is implanted directly into a patient's heart and has become quite important in the medical world as they have been responsible for saving countless individuals who suffered from serious cardiac conditions. While defibrillators are quite important and do a great deal of good, they are not completely without risk or problems.
